 User testing means testing the same workflow (script) across all tests in
 order to do comparisons. So, yes, it would be helpful for you to test a
 different script/workflow and give your feedback based on trying out the
 different flows, even if you're coming in with preferences already. Not
 sure what being involved in UI has to do with it - user testers certainly
 are not involved in WP core UI.
