 This has a secondary benefit, too: as people can see the approximate
 amount of respect their messages receive, they will start to write more
 useful messages, and also more of them, because it feels gratifying to
 succeed in the eyes of others.

 The like button could be displayed at the bottom right corner of each
 message. That space is usually empty, so only in a minority of messages
 this would cause the current full-width last line to span two lines
 instead.

 Speaking of which, I'd like this Core Trac to also have a like button. To
 clarify, I'm not suggesting any connection to Facebook but a completely
 internal feature.
