 WordPress.org support forums don't show any information on thread status
 changes eg. from not resolved to resolved. This information should be
 displayed automatically, and it would remove the need for users to write
 this information manually.

 This would allow users to know who changed the status and when as well as
 to see what happened before and after in the support discussion. This is
 already done in Trac. Eg.
