 This is so that we all could see the CSS used in paulirish site. Comparing
 soon after that post is published, and a long time after —even after the
 site's redesign.

 Why wouldn't he apply that  to his own site ?

 Same thing to the `rem` thingy in Twentytwelve, the link to snook.ca is
 suggested for "Further reading" in Twentytwelve's style.css

 snook.ca up until now is using px for font sizing.
