Comment:

 Hope I've done that patch right as I've never done it before.

 The basic idea is to use a filter 'media-default-view' with a return value
 of 'post' to make the default be 'Uploaded to this post' otherwise
 behaviour is unchanged.

 This is a more user friendly default for some CMS style sites as discussed
 earlier.
