Comment:

 Actually, the Links widget uses the markup from `wp_list_bookmarks()`.

 The list itself has `xoxo blogroll` classes: [source:tags/3.5.2/wp-
 includes/bookmark-template.php#L223]. Do you have a specific use case that
 cannot be accomplished using existing classes?
