 Personally, I think the new look doesn't jive well at all with the
 toolbar.

 The toolbar has items separated by narrow, crisp borders, whereas the menu
 items have a wider and more diffuse separation between them.

 I think we should keep the current style and just tweak the text color and
 positioning a bit.
