 Strong -1. I certainly wouldn't mind it being a bit more robust and
 functional in a number of ways. But the answer to "We need a better
 bookmarklet" (which, yes, we do) is not to simply remove it. It should
 remain in core while improvements occur in the form of either patches, or
 a plugin that can be iterated and then brought into core when it has
 reached a good result.

 If you do any kind of blogging that results in linking to and quoting
 another article, it can be awesome. I don't much, admittedly, but Matt
 does all the time, and uses the bookmarklet. A number of journalists I
 know also use it.
