Comment (by ryan):

 The modal currently remembers the last page you had open, but once you
 upload from "Upload Files" the last page becomes "Media Library/All Media
 Items". Perhaps it could remember the last source filter that was
 explicitly clicked rather than the last one you are redirected to.

 Also, you should be able to drag files onto the media library even while
 images are being fetched.
