Comment:

 I think the number of conditions that must be met in order to reproduce
 the bug make it less than serious. Further, it sounds like more of a
 browser issue than a WP issue.

 I wonder if it's appropriate to add code to WP core to support vintage
 software. IE 8 should definitely continue to be supported but I'm iffy on
 XP. Chromeframe as a solution? :P
