 I'm doing the symlinking of shared libraries packaged on my local system
 for plugins that I need to distribute via wordpress.org.

 This is become a '''''huge''''' problem for me.  All I'm asking for is to
 make the virtual filename available.  Please at least consider my next
 patch.
