the-wire bandwidth and because programming clients is easier than XML-RPC
(JSON parsing >> XML parsing).
My fear is that this will be called Good Enough and we'll never get a
first-class JSON-based REST API.
As far as I know, there's been no real big push for this. Maybe it's
something we want to get a group of people working on for 3.6 as a semi-
major feature?
