 This bug really irritates be. I'm using the taxonomy hidden to control
 things and when the option "{$taxonomy}_children" is empty there isn't
 really anything to do. Except manually delete the option. What is kind of
 ugly.

 Is there a change to get this in 3.6? and what needs to happen to get this
 in core.
