 I still don't like the new UI. It gives the post formats too much control
 over the UI. So my opinion is unchanged about that this should be a
 plugin. I'm also curious if there are stats to show how many users do
 really use post formats.

 I think it would be good to make it possible to remove most of the code.
 Like all the code added for 'post format fields' really should use the
 action 'edit_form_after_title'.
