 For me it's not necessarily the icon size.  I was worried about the menu
 taking a lot more space.  If the icons can stay this size without
 increasing the height of the menu item (or without increasing it much),
 I'd be fine with them.  I need to see it to really picture it that way
 though.  Mel said she'd put a patch up on #23415 tonight, which should
 help people play with things like padding and see how it looks in action.
