 the admin theme with LESS is very beneficial but right now WP doesn't even
 ship with LESS. It will take a while before we get all of the pieces in
 place to build anything /w LESS. We could create a new admin theme in the
 near future and then convert it to LESS when that becomes an option.
 The idea of using a preprocessor is definitely intriguing, but really the
 thing I think needs to happen is a complete css refactoring to become
 mobile friendly (responsive, etc). The article of course is proposing that
 that should be done from the ground up with a preprocessor, but I think it
 needs to be done despite HOW it gets done. The admin will never be easily
 skinned (a different argument entirely) or fit well in mobile until this
 is done.
