 Agreed that we can't stay stuck in something forever on account of time
 previously spent.

 I have a couple questions - what exactly is the focus of this ticket?
 Should discussions be held on the merits of the icons on their own and
 then tackle changes to the rest of the admin UI styling elsewhere, or
 should they all go together here and we call this "the flattening" (or
 whatever) rather than just new icons? Also, are others invited to
 contribute with icons or is it feedback that is sought? Asking for the
 benefit of all, because I think without clarity about what the purpose of
 this is (experiment, trial run, solicitation for ideas, or otherwise),
 we're going to get derailed pretty quickly with pile-ons about fonts and
 vectors, etc.
