 especially after the design change (dropping borders to make the screen
 feel lighter) made them non-obvious.

 I completely understand, and appreciate you taking the time to find that
 thread. I guess I'm on the other side of the fence, since I did view them
 as a benefit to the layout. However, I did not get a chance to view them
 under the new UI.

 I suppose this is resolved, however I would certainly not be opposed to
 reopening the discussion regarding the benefits of separators.
