 This is pretty cool. One thing I'm noticing is how much gallery code it
 duplicates and modifies. Some of it looks to be completely new, just
 following the set pattern. Totally kosher. But how much of it is shared
 code that could benefit from solid abstraction? Not saying it needs it now
 in order to go in, but it is good to evaluate it from this perspective, as
 at some point, core or a plugin will want video playlists, document
 collections, etc.
