 I don't think it's a CSS z-index issue, it's whether {{{wmode}}} is set to
 opaque or transparent. See http://ageekandhisblog.com/how-to-fix-internet-
 explorer-youtube-video-showing-above-fixed-element-ignoring-z-index/ for
 an explanation.

 Not sure if worth fixing.
