Comment:

 If anyone does continue to run into this issue in 3.6 or later, I am OK
 with adding a flush() after readfile() as that seems harmless, if that
 indeed fixes said problem. Please reopen if so.

 Changing to `worksforme` as this is an issue of not knowing what the
 problem is or how to fix it; versus `wontfix` which would indicate we are
 deliberately not fixing it.
