Comment:

 [attachment:20220.patch] from @johnbillion still applies cleanly and seems
 sane. If SUNRISE is defined and anything non-empty, then `sunrise.php` is
 loaded.

 If that defies expected back compat behavior, then we should close this
 ticket.
