 One should bear in mind that using lessphp allowed WP-LESS to add filters
 and hooks for Less variables. One can use a variable in LESS whose value
 was defined in the theme customiser in PHP, and it re-generates the
 stylesheet as those values change.

 The benefit of this being that you could have instead of a blue and a
 green and a red admin style, you could have a single style with a colour
 picker and let the user choose what they like best, and have the
 stylesheet procedurally generate the colours via math.
