 I would be cautious about lessphp. It's a fine port, but it lags behind in
 updates. Also original LESS implementation allows to embed generic
 JavaScript transparently and that doesn't play well with ports to
 different languages.

 I've used to compile LESS in PHP (via wp-less plugin mentioned above in
 the thread), but moved away from it in favor of compilation by IDE in
 development.
