Comment:

 There is a "clear" button right now (3.5 & 3.6 Beta), but when using

 'sanitize_callback' => 'sanitize_hex_color',

 Clicking the "Clear" and saving does nothing, the user is still not able
 to change the color, even though a way to "clear" exists.
