 A report that came my way:

 If you have a post with a gallery in it, and navigate away to a few other
 tabs, and then navigate back, the galleries disappear. (Or, you will click
 into the post and the galleries disappear). Noticed the same issue with
 the “read more” bar. If you insert it into a post, and then look at a few
 other tabs and come back, it disappears as well. You can make it reappear
 by toggling between “Visual” and “Text.”
