 Maybe I'm missing the logic here, but why not just supply the dropdown for
 each of the two options from the very start? If they want to create a new
 page that holds their latest posts, why can't they just select --Add New
 Page-- same as the first option? If you can't create new pages, hide the
 "add" option, if you can't manage options, you wouldn't be on the page in
 the first place.
