 I am picturing a before-after split screenshot, diagonally, with the top
 left triangle being better than the bottom right, and it being obvious
 that top left is "after" while bottom right is "before", probably from the
 shading of the line cutting them in half.

 Then, we'd say "we produce better images if your server supports it," and
 can even check WP_Image_Editor_Imagick::test() to tell them if they do
 (and to suggest they talk to their hosting company if they don't).
