 Oh yes, they are ugly. Just took the full saturation primaries at 60
 degree intervals. Happy to dial those down a bit :)

 Also, helenyhou mentioned that it might be nice to make the palette
 selection configurable (think a theme providing a complementary color
 scheme), which I'm also open to if we stick with this UI.

 Which default color swatches? WordPress's? If that's what you mean, those
 are good colors, but not necessarily applicable to the contexts where the
 picker will be used.
