Comment:

 [attachment:18141.3.diff] is a refresh plus a little more refinement for
 blue. Looks like we can get rid of [source:trunk/wp-admin/images/ed-bg.gif
 ed-bg.gif] and [source:trunk/wp-admin/images/ed-bg-vs.gif ed-bg-vs.gif] in
 favor of CSS3 gradients.
