 Right, it makes the coding for it easier. The problem is that the low-rez
 images are never shown, so there's no point in loading them at all.

 Alternatively we can try pre-loading the high-rez images with JS and then
 replacing them after they have loaded. This would have the "progressive
 JPEGs" effect.
