Yeah, I agree with your sentiments about the likelihood of cases you
described. I think a step in the right direction for this issue would be
to issue some error text as has been attempted before.
The last patch williamsba1 attached does not apply cleanly to trunk, I'll
attach an updated version. It would need some designer approval, as it
removes the CSS 'height' declaration for #edit-slug-box to allow for error
messages to increase the height of the div.
