 We currently pull in Browse Happy browser images from wordpress.org. I
 wouldn't object to doing it for screenshots on the about page, either.
 (And that could allow for localizing these graphics, too.)

 I don't have any problem with the footprint for 2x images in general that
 are used throughout WordPress, but I do agree it'd be quite nice to
 offload all about screenshots to wordpress.org, as all of that together
 could pretty significantly bring down the zip size and thus speed up
 upgrades.
