 I would also like to see the jQuery.noConflict() moved outside of
 jquery.js provided by Wordpress.

 Debian already has a package for jQuery and we tend to replace embedded
 javascript libraries by symlinks to the official Debian package. But when
 we tried this with WordPress, it broke because we accidentally removed the
 jQuery.noConflict() call...

 So I would like to see this call moved somewhere else, possibly directly
 added by the script loader as suggested in this Debian bug report:
