 Howdy folks! When developing [http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/07/11/go-
 ahead-add-a-splash-of-color/ Custom Colors] on WordPress.com, we built our
 own color picker because we basically hated every single one in existence.
 It's called Iris.

 Three things about Iris that make it stand out:

 1. It uses CSS3 Gradients, so it looks awesome on a retina display. This
 also makes it infinitely flexible for sizing.
 2. The UI and color calculations are in separate libraries (but bundled
 together by default).
 3. The controls are all built on jQuery UI, so throwing jQuery UI Touch
 Punch gives us touch support for free.

 The documentation is pretty much non-existent right now, but it's on the
 way. It also needs some UI iterations to provide, for example, a floating
 UI mode - it's inline only right now.

 Are you interested? If so, I can make a patch that integrates it.
