 IMHO this will only lead to ''further'' confusion. It is (perhaps
 unfortunately) well-established in WordPress that "home" refers to the
 '''Blog Posts Index''', and "front page" refers to the '''Site Front
 Page'''.

 Yes, it's inconsistent with the terminology most people use outside of
 WordPress. But we are stuck with this convention. (See also: query
 conditionals, `is_home()` vs `is_front_page()`, etc.)

 Unless we want to change the internal convention for this terminology, I
 think we should stick to '''home''' referring to the '''blog posts
 index''', in all contexts.
