Comment:

 Reopen for trunk.

 This doesn't fix removal of empty spans, only restores the TinyMCE
 behavior for <i>, <b>, <em> and <strong>. There are other
 fixes/improvements that are needed, so leaving this open until these are
 patched upstream.
