 Nice catch @scribu.  I'm seeing this in the theme customizer.

 Do we actually want "clear" to be an option?  The current implementation
 (in 3.4) does not give that ability.

 Perhaps the only option we have is "default" (when a default it supplied),
 and otherwise don't have a button there?
