 Maybe I'm being dense, but a separate checkbox doesn't make much sense to
 me. I can imagine how it would work in the color picker itself - I'm
 asking about the output that goes into text inputs and how we validate it.
 Also, transparency in CSS is not the same as using rgba() for a background
 color. If you use transparency, that will apply to the entire element,
 including any text or images, etc.
