 I'd be highly surprised if most uses of CPT's & taxonomies out there
 specifically set the slug.. I'd go so far as to say, that in the majority
 of cases it'll only ever be set when they want to change the rewrite slug
 differently than the CPT/Tax slug and already have items loaded.
