 Nacin, yeah, but I'm still not sure what 1 person's JS has to do with this
 issue where traffic is generated by 300-700 people on the site at any
 given time.

 I think there are still other issues exacerbating the situation and making
 it worse (the issue is a LOT worse on W3TC compared to WP Super Cache, for
 example), but those issues are helping surface the true problem with
 oEmbeds.
