 This behavior is described in the
 [http://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/wp-
 includes/js/quicktags.dev.js#L2 phpdoc in quicktags.js]. It may not be the
 most intuitive (for developers) as we don't have "real" hooks system for
 JS that mimics the php filters. Suggestions (and patches) for improving it
 are welcome.
