#17543: WordPress Multisite/MU/Network naming is ambigious

What is the official term for when once WordPress instance hosts multiple
blogs? WordPress Network? WordPress Multiuser? WordPress MU?
http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network doesn't make this clear.
"Network" appears in lower case in the first paragraph, but "Multisite" is
in upper case (suggesting authority) but in parenthesis (de-suggesting
authority). Yet in the WordPress app, the link is called '''Network
Admin'''. And on this tracker, the component is '''Multisite'''.
I'm having trouble consistently communicating to users without knowing
which words to use. I would appreciate more clarity in the documentation
and consistency between the documentation, WordPress.org, and the product
UI.
