 I see this same problem when trying to paste text from a MS Word document
 into WordPress (using the "Paste from Word" button). It will insert
 something like the following at the beginning of each paragraph:

 {{{
 <span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">
 }}}

 (and </span> at the end of each paragraph).

 This doesn't happen every time.
