 Not too sure where to report this, but... Our persistent object cache is
 currently using PECL/Memcache instead of PECL/Memcached:

  * http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/memcached/trunk/object-
 cache.php

 There recently was a new 3.0 beta release, but if the SVN and this
 announcement are anything to go by:

  * http://marc.info/?l=pecl-dev&m=126926486801449&w=2
  * http://svn.php.net/viewvc/pecl/memcache/trunk/

 ... we might want to look into supporting PECL/Memcached as well.
