 You can't automatically flush rewrite rules after registering a new post
 type because post types are not stored persistently somewhere (such as in
 the database). Therefore, there's no way for WP to ask "hey, is this post
 type new?" and know the answer.

 As for the rest of your proposal, you must have missed the initial
 discussion about post types: there's no point in using ''custom'' post
 types if they behave just like normal posts. You can just use categories
 and tags and post formats to group and style posts.

 Therefore, I'm afraid this ticket will be closed as wontfix. Will wait to
 see your patch first.
