 I just dragged a "Text" widget from the Inactive Widgets list over to a
 custom widget area.  I did the same with two other inactive widgets, and
 they worked, but the "Text" widget did not get displayed on the page.
 Instead it only showed this:

 I don't believe I've used the Text widget before on this particular
 installation, so whatever was in the database was likely in a default
 configuration.
