 Interstingly enough, after reading [http://old.nabble.com/WP_HTTP-
 deflating-small-packets-td31040926.html this post], I tested with a call
 that returns a larger amount of data, and it works as expected. If it
 helps to pinpoint, the class being used in my situation is
 WP_Http_Streams().
