 I think I may have found the problem, as I am on a windows server that
 offers WinCache.

 Please Advise:
 I am using Faster PHP Version 5.3 IonCube with Microsoft WinCache
 I can downgrade to a Slower PHP Version 5.2 with IonCube and Zendloader,
 until a fix is found?

 Are the devs aware of the WinCache issue?

 So it does look like a server issue after all! :(
