Comment:

 The problem there is then the private status isn't properly communicated
 in the dropdown.

 I know this ticket has been open for years, but it's time it gets moved to
 a feature request, because that is what it is. There are a number of UX
 considerations here, which is why the functionality doesn't exist yet.
